Iain Springate

Iain is a Research Officer at the NFER. Before joining the NFER, he carried out research into adult and community learning, for example researching attitudes to post-16 learning in Hull, and evaluating an educational programme supporting young people at risk of exclusion from school. Alongside this he completed an MSc in Applied Social Research.

Since joining the NFER, he has been involved in several projects, including research into the way teachers share learning, the support needs of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics education researchers, and the factors affecting subject choice in Physics and Chemistry by ethnic group.
