PRE Online is designed for everyone interested in finding out about the practical applications of the latest research into education. It is especially useful for teachers, head teachers and education students and provides electronic access to a wide selection of research projects, many of which can be applied in any school.
PRE Online will keep you up to date with the research that matters. Published articles emphasise the practical applications of the research that is taking place both in and outside of the classroom and provide case study examples of how the findings are being used.
PRE Online provides direct access to over 70 articles about current research in education. To ensure the high quality of all articles, NFER and the PRE editorial panel scrutinise each one to make sure that it is based on sound educational research and that it is written with a practitioner audience in mind. As well as contributions from the current year, we have broadened the scope of PRE Online to include selected publications from our 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 backlist.
Articles are arranged alphabetically and you can also search by keyword. To check if the article is of interest to you, just view the summary. If you would then like to read it, follow the instructions to enter it into your 'briefcase' and it will be emailed to you as a Word document.
It is a feature of PRE that you can photocopy all articles for internal use so you can use the articles for staff development and training or for sharing information within your school or organisation.
